/* 01 · ask */

Just ask Mochi.

“Group these by theme.” “Wireframe the sign-up flow.” “What am I missing?” Mochi reads your board and does it, right there on the canvas.

/* 02 · new in 1.1 */

Design thinking, ready to go.

Affinity maps, opportunity maps, journey maps and more drop in with a real example and a little how-to note from Mochi. Delete the note when you’ve got it.

/* 03 · sketch */

Screens, not just stickies.

Phone and desktop frames, nav bars, buttons, inputs and whole website sections. Rough it out next to your notes, then export a picture or PDF.

/* 04 · organize */

Everything in its place.

Projects hold folders, folders hold boards, boards hold canvases. Drag a canvas into another board, or pull it out on its own.

/* 05 · talk it out */

Voice memos that write themselves.

Record a thought, and Mochi turns it into notes you can move around. Great for walks, showers and 2am ideas.

/* 06 · new in 1.1 */

No internet? No problem.

Your boards live on your Mac and keep working offline. Mochi still tidies, and she’ll think with Claude again once you’re back.

/* templates */

Seven ways to start thinking.

Each one lands with an example, so you never stare at a blank board.

Small, squishy, surprisingly useful.

  • Sorts the mess. Turns a pile of notes into tidy, named groups.
  • Builds the first draft. Wireframes, checklists, docs and plans.
  • Finds inspiration. Real app screens from Mobbin, if you use it.
  • Always asks first. Anything that costs credits waits for your yes.
  • Knows when to be quiet. Chatty, normal or quiet. Or switch her thinking off.

/* questions */

Good questions.

Is it really free?

Yes. Mochiboard is free and open source under the MIT license. The code is on GitHub for anyone to read, use or build on.

Do I need Claude to use it?

No. Every board tool works on its own. Claude Code is what lets Mochi think, so with it she can sort, write and build. Without it she still tidies notes into rows.

Where do my boards live?

On your Mac, as plain files in your Library folder. Nothing is uploaded, and there’s no account to make.

Does it cost Claude usage?

Only when you ask Mochi something. Settings → Helpers shows how much she’s used, with a link to your plan’s limits.

Windows or iPad?

It’s a Mac app for now. You can try the board in any browser, and Mochi does the simple stuff there too.
